We will report on our measuring and making drawings of the Arakawa's original "Bottomless I" and the process of reproducing this remarkable work.

Yasushi Nishikawa (born in 1972)
1993: Graduated from Kyoto Saga Art College
1994: Started working aa an ironworks in Minami Ward, Kyoto City, which manufactures outdoor advertisements and other products, where he learned ironworking techniques
2001: Established HOTMETAL. Ran an ironworks business which included on-site construction
2011: Closed down due to moving to New York
2013: Established HOTMETALSOUP in Brooklyn, NY. Worked on commercial buildings and provided technical services for artists
2016: Returned to Japan with HOTMETALSOUP, continued working on domestic and international works
2017: Contributed to Light Odyssey, a work by Berlin-based artist SHIMURABROS, which is displayed at the Pola Museum of Art in Hakone, Japan
